At home with Polly and the kids

We had such a nice time with Polly. Boy, did we work hard! I wish I had taken a "before" picture, but here is an "after" picture of her making waffles with the kids on Sunday morning.

The house is small but new, with very nice landlord-neighbors living next door. It will be wonderful for them once Eric arrives at the end of the week. If you click on the photo, you can see it bigger. Katie has a darling new short haircut. Laurie Last, Chris's mom, cut her hair while Polly & Eric were loading the truck, and hair was long enough to be donated to Locks of Love. Polly & Katie love the new haircut - so much easier to take care of!

On the way home, we stopped off at Multnomah Falls to enjoy the ice show. I-84 was well sanded and mostly free of ice by the time we drove through around 1:00 pm, but the parking lot at Multnomah Falls was really slick - like a skating rink! We didn't notice it driving because of the 4-wheel drive and studded snow tires, but it was tough to walk over to the lodge to take a picture. The build-up of ice around the falls was spectacular.

Now I need to get my lesson plan ready for tomorrow. Hope you have a great week!
