Here are some good grandkid photos from the week:
Enjoying a book with Becca.
Seth enjoying a popsicle. (We missed getting any photos of Katie this time...too bad.)
Ethan came to visit with Josh and Hillary on Thursday. He warmed up to us after a little while - he is a sweet and funny little guy.
Mark, Josh, Ethan - three handsome fellas!
Mike sent this photo of Maddy enjoying some ice cream. (She used to not like it--too cold--but now she enjoys it a lot. Like father, like daughter!)

Snow Day???
I'm wearing my snowflake earrings and my "Let it Snow" teeshirt. We have 1-4" of snow in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight. Oh, I'm hoping...
Even though we would have to make it up in the fall, I could sure use an extra day to relax at home right now...

Writing Conference Tomorrow
I like this painting, titled "Spring Renewal."
I get a day off from teaching and literacy coach work tomorrow. I signed up for a "writing renewal day" for teachers in Portland - we get to hear an author speak. We will spend a little time writing, and get some new writing prompts.
I hope it's a good event - I could really use some "renewal." Feeling a little burned out lately. I think it's the February slump. Will spring ever come? Wanh, wanh, wanh.
Today we had some snow, some hail, a little bit of sunshine, lots of big thunder clouds. More of the same in the forecast for tomorrow, but Saturday is supposed to be nice, and then more snow on Sunday. None of the snow is sticking at our elevation.
Anyway, should be a good day tomorrow. If it's not, I've already decided that I'll leave and come home to do some writing of my own. I have plenty of flex time accrued, and I will use some of it to relax if the event doesn't "renew" me. It's time to take care of Kathy a little better.

More Lilly
Kendra sent these photos today - ready to go home from the hospital.
It's so fun to see her eyes open.

Camp Natoma Sweatshirt, out and about
My new Saturday "uniform"? Here's a closeup of my running gear this morning:
Mark wants me to be sure to point out the huge bird's nest on a pole in the background. The red arrow is pointing to it. It might be an eagle's nest - I've seen an eagle perched in a tree next to the river on this trail before.
We've had a relaxing day - such a nice change from our usual weekend schedule, when we are slammed from the minute we get up until we fall into bed. Even though it would have been fun to go snowshoeing with Liberty and Jason today, and even though I'm sad that Liberty has pneumonia, it was actually a relief to have a day with nothing else planned.
I forgot to tell you - Maleena found out this week that she is having a boy. Mark talked to Kendra today, and she is in good spirits, anxious to have the baby this week.
It's only 6:30 pm, and I actually have all of my grading done, Sunday School lesson planned, Monday lesson planned - wow! I will have some time to write tonight!
